Williams have invested in expanding its fleet and transportation capacity by investing in an Atlas 165.2E crane, capable of lifting over three tonnes.
This latest investment will enable the logistics specialist to lift large forms of freight directly onto its trailers, mitigating the risk of damage to the cargo during loading and transit.
The Atlas 165.2E is a truck mounted crane that has a massive reach of 16.6m and can lift up to 3,750kg. With full radio remote control, the Williams drivers can easily and efficiently move loads that may have otherwise cause logistical challenges.
Williams Haulage operates a large fleet of articulated curtain-sided and flat-bed trailers, tippers, crane-mounted and rigid vehicles. This latest addition to the fleet will extend the company’s offering, enabling it to provide a highly efficient loading service for customers. Commenting on the investment, managing director Huw Williams said:
“We welcome the addition of the Atlas 165.2E crane to our fleet, as it has strengthened our service offering and enabled us to overcome some of the inherent handling problems our customers have been facing. Atlas Cranes is recognised as a leading force in its industry and we are proud to have introduced this high performance vehicle to our fleet.”
As a leading 4PL and global transportation service provider, Williams looks to continually strengthen its service offering and ensure its customers’ needs are fully met. Investing in new equipment and technology demonstrates an unwavering commitment to grow and develop the company whilst supporting the demands of its customers operating in the manufacturing, food and agricultural industries.
