In line with this vision, we are thrilled to announce a significant transition in our business – a move from petrol-powered vehicles to electric vehicles (EVs).
Williams: A Pioneer in Sustainable Logistics Solutions
With our headquarters nestled in the picturesque landscapes of North Wales, we understand the importance of preserving the environment and safeguarding the well-being of our local community. As a national and international distributor, we acknowledge our responsibility in minimising our carbon footprint and embracing sustainable practices throughout our operations.
A Greener Future with Electric Vehicles
Electric vehicles are at the forefront of the green transportation revolution, offering numerous benefits that align perfectly with our values and goals. By transitioning to electric vehicles, we are taking a proactive step towards reducing harmful emissions. EVs produce zero tailpipe emissions, significantly lowering our carbon footprint and improving air quality in the communities we serve.
The timing of our transition to EVs couldn’t be better. Starting from July, the energy price cap in the UK will be reduced to £2,074 for the average household, resulting in lower energy bills throughout the summer.
One of the significant advantages of electric vehicles is the potential for reduced fuelling costs. Charging an EV on an off-peak electric vehicle tariff can lead to substantial savings. For instance, with a typical EV, a year’s worth of driving would cost around £127.50– a remarkable reduction compared to traditional petrol or diesel fuel expenses.
Our Commitment to Sustainable Innovation
Our decision to replace our business petrol cars with electric vehicles is a powerful step towards a greener future. This transition not only reduces emissions but also showcases our position as an industry leader in sustainable logistics solutions. As the world moves towards a more sustainable future, we will continue to innovate and contribute to a cleaner and more environmentally conscious world.
